PAR-QOL APRIL NEWSLETTER 2015

Wednesday April 29, 2015

The PAR-QoL tool-kit was honored to have Dr. Jaimie Borisoff (Canada Research Chair in Rehabilitation Engineering Design – British Columbia Institute of Technology) participate in our Spring ‘Ask An Expert’ Spotlight event. This event allowed visitors to the site to pose Dr. Borisoff questions about his perspectives in the field of SCI research.  The event is now closed for questions and we will post Dr. Borisoff’s answers in a few weeks.

Dr. Borisoff’s impressive research program explores a variety of topics. This includes sensory substitution technologies, dynamic wheeled mobility and the importance of changing postures in a wheelchair, and participation and quality of life. His most recent work is on a hybrid exercise machine whereby active arm movements also drive the legs, which helps to increase cardiorespiratory fitness.  To learn more about Dr. Borisoff’s research, please visit his webpage by clicking here.

We thank Dr. Borisoff for his participation and look forward to seeing his responses on the PAR-QoL site shortly!
